Crisami’s guesthouse is situated in the idel frame to perform multiple excursions around Solsona. Just about 1’5 Km from the centre, you will find Mare de la Font’s Park, an ideal place to spend a day with the family surrounded by a natural framework with some instalations for children. The Cardener River, Sant Ponç swamp, Ribera Salada river, with clean water, are ideal for fishing.
Another advisable route is Port del Compte Ski Resort, just about 30Kms from Solsona. In this same route we can also find the village of Sant Llorenç de Morunys and the beautiful sightseeing of La Vall de Lord.
If you are interested in history, from Crisami’s guesthouse you will be able to visit the great variety of churches and monuments, most of them Romanic, which are located in Solsona: Sant Pere de Graudescales, Olius crypt, Vila’s dolmen, one of the most important ones in Catalonia, or Miracle’s Sanctuary, all them are just some of the many examples that can be given.
Popular Festivities
One of the festivities that must be highlighted in Solsona is Solsona’s Main Festivity (Festa Major) which takes places on the 8th, 9th and 10th September. Days of tradition, giants, bigheads and many other folkloric elements that make this celebration one of the biggest ones in Catalonia
Sant Isidre’s Fair is celebrated in May. It is the big agricultural and cattle fair of Solsona.
However, the festivity that has given popularity to Solsona the latest years is the Carnival. The hanging of the donkey, the crazy family giants at Bufy’s rhythm make this Carnival a festivity worth knowing.
